How effective is the combination of your media product and ancillary tasks?

POSTER
  I selected the image shown in my poster because it shows the three main character who's stories inter twain. The male characters have their hoods up showing the sketchiness of the characters as if they have something to hide whilst the more dominating character wears a hat. The location of the shot was chosen as it can often attract young teens from working class backgrounds who are our target audience.

  When using photo shop my skills soon developed which then helped me to progress onto my final draft. I decided to change the images used as it was poor quality and I had many more to choose from after we carried out a photo shoot. I liked the use of a graffiti background as it brightened up the front cover making it more appealing to my target audience. 
  I used the same text for "The Vale" in both my poster and magazine front cover so that the viewer could easily recognize my soap opera. 
  I stuck with conventional text displayed on the front cover as advertising other teenage interests would also attract my target audience to buy my product.

How I met my brief 
  I have met my brief by giving myself personal deadlines which I stuck to in order to successfully work in a small group producing a 2 minute teaser trailer for a soap opera and creating a poster and font cover of a TV listings magazine.

Difficulties in producing my three main products

• setbacks with filming due to illness and bad weather
• new to photo shop - had to learn how to use it
• could only access photo shop at home and therefor could not continue with work at home.
