EXISTING TV POSTERS

These are some existing TV posters i have found and liked. When producing my very first TV poster for The Vale i will look at theses for inspiration. The following are from a variety of different programs and from a variety of different channels.

BBC THREE

During the last stages of edditing we didn't feel 100% sured that E4 was the best channel to broadcast "The Vale". We then carried out further reasearch in to existing channels suitable and discovered that BBC Three was the best suitable for us. We have chosen BBC Three instead of E4 as E4 broadcasts more series instead of soap operas, such as skins. BBC One broadcasts soap operas also, yet we felt that Eastenders is aimed at an older generation and Waterloo Road is aimed at the same target audience as The Vale and is already broadcast on this channel. The Vale would benifit on BBC Three because The Vale is different to anything BBC Three already has.

PHOTO SHOOT

When revisiting our chosen locations to finish off a few last things of filming we also carried out a photo shoot of our chosen characters who are going to be displayed on the front cover of the magazine and also on the poster. These are some of our photo's from the shoot after we narrowed them down from 200+ photos.

TYPOGRAPHY

I  have been looking at typography that i would like to use and adapt for my poster and magazine front cover. These are some of the ones i have looked at..

Quick update!

This week i have been working hard to finish off all editing to my soap opera teaser trailer. Me and Lauren have chosen a song which fits well with the messages we are putting across in our trailer and have also started done a photo shoot for our magazine front cover and poster.

filming setback!

We have now filmed our extra scenes forour soap opera trailer but had set backs due to snow which resulted in the school and raods being closed. After the snow had cleared we where then able to go back out and continue filming.

Whilst having time off due to the bad weather i was able to research different types of TV magazines. i have looked closely at the difference between TV Times and Radio Times magazines. I have decided to follow more of the conventions of the Radio Times magazine rather than the TV Times magazine as my intended target audience is not likely to pickup and by a TV Times magazine.
